VANSA Open Office: Listening Experiment with Ibrahim Cisse

To wrap up his six-week-long Open Office residency at VANSA and set the tone for warmer days to come, Ibrahim Cisse proposes a collective listening experiment.

Date: Thursday 14 September 2017
Time: 6pm (doors close 6.30pm)
Place: Afrikan Freedom Station, Westdene, Johannesburg

The evening will be the opportunity for participants to pause the remaining four senses and delve into an etcetera of sounds, birthed from enlightening encounters that triggered the need to be recorded and shared in the form of this experiment.

Join us to unveil a collection of moments and fleeting inspirations, captured between a preceding stay in The Gambia, and a first-time jump onto South African soil.
The soundscape is due to last approximately 45 minutes; the participants are expressively asked to come on time for the welfare of the experiment.

Please give us a phone call if you are coming late: 078 14 388 38
