Call for nominations for the Interim Multidisciplinary Advisory Panel members to serve from 1 October to 31 December 2017

The National Arts Council of South Africa hereby invites all competent, suitably qualified and interested persons to serve as members of the interim Multidisciplinary Advisory Panel for a period of three months from 1 October 2017 to 31 December 2017. The members of the Interim Multidisciplinary Panel are required to have knowledge and expertise in at least two or more art forms catered for by the NAC, namely, craft, dance, literature, multi-discipline, music, theatre and visual arts.


Members must have achieved distinction or have special knowledge and experience in the fields required. International experience as well as knowledge and expertise in indigenous art forms will be an added advantage.


Members shall fulfil the statutory role to advise the Council on the merits of applications for funding and on any matter relating to the fields of the arts to which he/she is appointed. The Interim Multidisciplinary Advisory Panel members will be required to assess applications based on NAC established criteria and make recommendations to Council.

Members shall be nominated by any member of the public. Nominators are required to submit a detailed motivation for the nominee, curriculum vitae of the nominee and a letter of acceptance from the nominated candidate. Formal qualifications that accompany the curriculum vitae must be certified.

Closing date for all nominations will be 29 September 2017 at 16h00 via email.

Please note that late nominations will not be considered and no exceptions will be made. If you have not heard from the NAC within two months of the closing date, consider your submission as unsuccessful and no further correspondence will be entered into.
