AE The Projectroom, is a company under the Art Eye Gallery banner, which runs developmental residencies, creating a synchronicity between traditional workshop, studio and exhibition spaces.

AE The Projectroom developed a residency programme which emphasises the importance of meaningful and multi-layered artistic cultural exchange by inviting a vast variety of artists to participate in a free exchange. The space was developed with a need for artists to engage in collaboration with others coming from all over the world. This is realised without the limitation of materials, as all studio space and materials are sponsored by AE The Projectroom. Through this multifaceted experience, we hope to explore the infinite scope of South African art making, by shining a light on the artistic production and development of new and upcoming artists. The aim of AE The Projectroom, is to create a synchronicity between traditional workshop, studio and exhibition spaces. It is AETheProjectroom’s intention to extend the educational value of the visual arts practice through future projects and collaborations, sustainable educational platforms and economic structures that will support generations of artists to come.
