A MAZE. Kick Off at VANSA
A MAZE. invites to Kick off! Just two month to go and the first A MAZE. Interact will take place in Johannesburg. With a presentation plus Q&A, games and music, Thorsten S. Wiedemann, the artistic director of A MAZE. will give an overview of the festival for artists, curators, partners and people who are interested in analog and digital games, media art and technology.
From August 28 to September 2, 2012 A MAZE. Interact will be introduced for the first time in Johannesburg. A MAZE. Interact expands on the existing media art and indie games designer scene in South Africa, and aims to create an annual platform, forging artist collaborations and strengthening the cultural exchange between the European partner institutions and South African institutions.
A MAZE. Interact will be a sustainable regular platform for sharing ideas, providing enduring knowledge, creating lasting relations and building a solid base for an extended cultural exchange. This will enable artists and game developers from South Africa and the Sub-Saharan region to participate in new ways in the international Gaming and Media Art scene.
