Nafasi Art Space is a young Contemporary Art Space in Dar es Salaam with 11 studios, in and outdoor exhibition space and home to 15 artists. On short notice we are looking for a contemporary visual artist to join us for a period of 2 - 3 months (Feb-April 2012) to be an artist in residence at Nafasi. The goal of the residency is to have an active art working exchange between you and the Nafasi artists.

The Hungarian Multicultural Center, Inc.® (HMC), 501(c)(3), Dallas, TX/Budapest, Hungary based non-profit organization. The HMC invites interested visual artists, writers, performers to submit application for its residency program in Budapest, Hungary. The residencies offer participants to interact with other artists representing a variety of cultures and backgrounds. Accepted applicants are expected to speak and understand English. The residence offers shared room/bath as living quarters. Room, workshop, exhibition, seminar, artist talk, field trip and gallery tour are included in the cost.
The Gallery is dedicated to collaborations with under-represented artists and curators and to exhibiting arts practice that is evolving and experimental. Gallery of Light studio and research residencies support independent creative practice and aim to nurture dialogue between UAE artists and visiting practitioners. They allow time to explore ideas and realise new projects in a positive environment. Residencies are awarded competitively based upon current portfolio and a project statement considering the Gallery‘s location and focus as a not-for-profit community space.
18th Street Arts Complex is a nonprofit residential arts center in Santa Monica that supports artists and arts organizations dedicated to issues of community and diversity in contemporary society. 18th Street maintains four programs that reflect its mission.
In 2011, with the start of the International Fellowship Programme Studio14, the centre for contemporary art HALLE 14 will for the first time award two residency fellowships to artists. The programme invites artists from around the world to work for three months (June 30 - September 30, 2011) in a studio at the world-famous Leipziger Baumwollspinnerei.
