Studio/Work Space
Part of Assemblage’s mission is to provide support and networking for as many Johannesburg based artists as possible. So, we will now be offering a daily rent-a-desk/easel option at the NewARC.
Shared space in a studio of 26 square meters.
We have a beautiful building with great light and space available in Bertram’s, Johannesburg. We are just around the corner from Arts on Main and are looking for Arty tenants to fill the space-photographers, film makers, fabric designers or the like. Creating a vibe for customers to come and order great South African products.
Calling curators, collectives and artist: Exhibit space now open at the POP-UP Gallery, adjacent to Artvark Gallery, Kalkbay to be rented weekly or monthly.
The studio is situated in Parktown North on Jan Smuts Avenue (between Dunkeld and Rosebank). It is a lovely open plan space with a translucent tip up bay door set in tranquil indigenous gardens.

Assemblage is pleased to announce that the Newtown Artist Run Centre and Studios (NewARC) has been open for six months and is now home to a growing and exciting community.
Joule City is a project of Resonance Bazar, a Section 21 Non Profit Company working to create multi-disciplinary studio/office workspace, meeting points and project space for small arts organisations, filmmakers, designers, architects, cultural researchers, artists and writers.

Assemblage is pleased to announce its plans to open an artist run centre and studios in Braamfontein or Newtown, Johannesburg. The Assemblage Studios will be a space run by artists for artists and will offer studio spaces and support facilities for artists.
Sober & Lonely Institute for Contemporary Art is sending out an open call for artists, writers, curators (etc) to participate in a one day residency programme in Johannesburg this Summer. Applicants will have access to the residency house for 24 hours and are encouraged to create an event or artwork during their stay.
OurSpace is a free, prototype, creative community centre. For the month of August, it is open to friends and residents of Maboneng and will facilitate a number of events and projects simultaneously.
