The Bag Factory is hosting a two-day digital art workshop. The workshop will be a part of the Bag Factory About Art series. The aim of the workshop will be to provide attendants with an overview of digital art, its theory, techniques, processes and conceptual issues at stake.
The aim of this workshop will be to build artistic confidence and introduce a potential approach for beginning to paint images- be it from life or an appropriated photographic reference.

Assemblage will hold its launch event from 25 - 26 March 2011 to coincide with the 24 Hours in the City Arts Festival to be held at the Maboneng Precinct. Following the opening exhibition and party on Friday 25 March, will be a day of workshops and peer mentoring groups on Saturday 26 March. As part of VANSA’S 2010 reasons to live in a small town, Bianca Baldi joined by an esteemed panel including Themba Shibase and chaired by DUT Art Gallery Curator Nathi Gumede. Baldi will give a talk on a site specific project which she has been researching. The project is called Natal Patria.
