The following statement on the current position of the National Lottery Distribution Trust Fund has been prepared for submission to the National Lotteries Board (NLB) and the Minister of Trade and Industry in the context of the upcoming National Consultative Conference on the NLDTF convened by the NLB, on the 20th and 21st of June at Gallagher Estate, Midrand, Gauteng.

Assemblage: Introduction to Mono-type Printmaking Workshop.

Niall Bingham in collaboration with Assemblage will be presenting an Introduction to Monotype Printmaking Workshop, on Saturday, 2 July 2011. The workshop will include both black and white printmaking as well as the addition of oil based colours.

Call for African Arts Institute 'AFRICA 101' Course Facilitators

AFRICA 101 is a project envisaged by the African Arts Institute (AFAI) for 2011: an AFRICAN ARTS CAMPUS from where a series of informal, part-time courses on Africa, African arts, culture and creative content will be presented, firstly to a South African public, but with the future vision to expand to an international cultural tourism market. AFAI is currently looking for independent facilitators for course subjects as listed below, with availability in Cape Town during August/September 2011.

Gallery of Light Applications Call: Art Residencies

The Gallery is dedicated to collaborations with under-represented artists and curators and to exhibiting arts practice that is evolving and experimental. Gallery of Light studio and research residencies support independent creative practice and aim to nurture dialogue between UAE artists and visiting practitioners. They allow time to explore ideas and realise new projects in a positive environment. Residencies are awarded competitively based upon current portfolio and a project statement considering the Gallery‘s location and focus as a not-for-profit community space.
