‘Beyond the Creative Economy? – Trends and Issues in National and Regional Economies’

The South African Cultural Observatory is pleased to invite you to our 2018 International Conference, due to take place on 7 and 8 March 2018, at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth.

The conference will explore matters that challenge growth within the creative economy and how best to mirror, mitigate and solve these problems within the sector. Within the global context, we hope to examine and find parallels and regional successes we can draw from. The role of technology and popular culture in influencing trends will also be examined.

We are excited to announce the conference theme: ‘Beyond the Creative Economy?’- Trends and Issues in National and Regional Economies’

This major theme will be supported by a series of sub-themes including:
