Opportunity Description

Do you think your project/venture has the potential to grow?

Are you between the ages of 18-35?

Are you based in Gauteng, Free State, or the Eastern Cape?

If you answered “yes” to the above questions, then you should apply for the Department of Arts and Culture (DAC) Debut Programme, in partnership with Business and Arts South Africa (BASA)and the National Lotteries Commission (NLC):

The Debut Programme will provide knowledge and skills development to emerging artists on the cusp of “making it” to support them with launching/implementing their first album, film, book, etc., and allowing them opportunities to pitch for a catalyst grant to further support their venture. Partnerships and collaborations will be important for maximum impact and improved sustainability.

The programme combines DAC Debut Funding with BASA’s Education, Mentorship, and Young Business Professionals Programmes, as well as opportunities to apply for BASA Supporting Grants (should applicants be eligible).
