Open Planet is a visual library designed to empower storytelling through impactful footage. In collaboration with Wellcome, they have been capturing scenes across South Africa, and as a storytelling partner, Crtve Development is inviting creatives to utilise this footage to create works addressing the effects of climate change on health in urban communities.
We welcome all creative expressions — animation, film, performance, and more. The only requirement is that your final output incorporates video footage from the Open Planet library in innovative and exciting ways. The teams at Open Planet and Crtve Development can provide information and resources on climate and health to support your storytelling and narrative development.

- The Open Planet library is free to use for educational and impact storytelling, so there will be no cost for downloading footage for this project.
- You may use any clips from the collection to craft your story, presented in your unique perspective, in any format, length, and style.
