The small business entails manufacturing and sales. The training will involve all facets of the business.
Framing assistant entails careful manual labour – working with various tools, blades and glass. This job requires standing and
physical effort.
Requirements:
- NSC (Matric)
- Art background – Visual Arts and/or Design subjects at school or college is a requirement.
- Fine motor skills and ability to concentrate for long stretches of time.
- The ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Precision and neatness is required in the workshop.
- People skills – assisting clients in providing framing quotations and sales. Must be able to communicate in English and Afrikaans.
- Basic computer skills.
- Administrative skills.
- Dynamic and keen to learn.
- Trustworthy and reliable.
- A commitment of at least 1 year after the initial 3 months training period.
- Working hours are from 9am to 6pm daily with an 1 hour lunch break. Every Saturday 9am to 2pm.
