Opportunity Description

The role available is for the position of gallery assistant at THK Gallery in Cape Town CBD.

You’ll be in an administrative position working closely with the team and the management to coordinate the daily operations of the gallery. We are looking for a candidate who is enthusiastic, enjoys client service, with a great sense of detail and work well delivered.

The responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Front of house and client service
  • Assisting on sales, strong knowledge of the gallery and its artists to answer client’s requests and/or dispatch to management
  • Community management on our social media accounts and press relation liaison
  • Assisting on expenses claim, invoicing, supplier liaison
  • Assisting the gallery coordinator with the filing and organisational system of the gallery
  • Assisting the gallery coordinator on the shipping and inventory
  • Assisting with exhibition planning and artwork production
  • Maintaining and updating gallery database
  • Setting up weekly reports and daily feedbacks on the operations status

Key skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Very strong attention to details and high level of work delivered
  • Proficient in Microsoft office and adobe suite
  • Dynamic and enthusiast

Remuneration based on experience level
