Opportunity Description

Artyli Gallery, based in Nelson Mandela Square, is seeking a proactive and well-spoken Gallery Manager to oversee daily operations and act as PA to the Gallery Director.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing daily gallery operations and administration
  • Assisting with exhibitions, overseeing installations
  • Organising and managing gallery events
  • Overseeing export, framing, deliveries, and installations
  • Maintaining inventories, website, and gallery platforms
  • Supporting marketing, and client relationships
  • Internal sales and sales support
  • Providing PA support to the Director

Requirements & Attributes:

  • Qualification in Visual Art / Marketing / Business Management, or sufficient relevant experience
  • Experience in Gallery Management
  • Passion for art and knowledge of the contemporary art industry
  • Ability to work alongside the director as a PA
  • Excellent written and spoken English; confident engaging with clients, collectors, and artists. Additional languages an advantage.
  • Highly organised, conscientious, and business-minded
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Adobe Creative Suite skills/Graphic Design an advantage
  • Must be available for retail hours, including weekends
