ART AFRICA’s internship program is currently seeking candidates for 2017 and 2018. All interested candidates should be available for at least 12 sequential weeks during the session they apply for.
Qualifications:
- We’re looking for candidates who love keeping a pulse on the art world and are passionate about journalism. The most important skills that we’re looking for is someone with an inquisitive mind, strong writing skills and a penchant for research.
- Both graduate and undergraduate students, with backgrounds in art history, journalism, curatorship or related fields, should apply.
Duties:
The internship will be research and writing-focused, interns will have the opportunity to experience a bit of everything that goes on in the office. Duties will vary from research and fact-check on stories to assisting with social media.
All interns will receive remuneration.
Interns will be expected to work from our office in Cape Town at least 4 days a week. We will consider applicants who are unable to be in Cape Town for the period of the internship, however, this will be the exception.
All interns will receive a letter of confirmation of completion of internship and skills gained.
