KZNSA SHOP ADMINISTRATOR
The KwaZulu-Natal Society of Arts seeks to employ an administrator for the KZNSA Shop in Durban, South Africa. The shop is part of the KZNSA Gallery complex and responsible for generating turnover for the organisation, while also providing retail opportunities for local makers and designers.

The person in this position needs to have a passion for design, craft, and art, and be able to nurture relationships with local suppliers of these. They will engage customers and facilitate sales with their knowledge of the makers and artists represented in the shop. Good people skills and strong administrative skills are essential. The shop administrator is also responsible for managing the organisation’s Shopify retail platform and the content management thereof.

  • Sales
  • Stock control
  • Merchandising
  • Relationships with suppliers
  • Online retail management

Requirements

  • Matric pass
  • At least 5 years experience in retail
  • Software –
    Pastel and Excel (essential)
    Email correspondence
    Web content management

Terms
Tuesday to Friday 08.00 – 17.00, Saturday 08.30 – 16.00
Full-time contract with 3-month probation
Remuneration dependent on skills and experience of the applicant
