The Department of Visual Arts at Stellenbosch University offers a comprehensive postgraduate offering all the way through to doctoral level, including TWO full-time (1-2 years) research-based Masters degrees in either Visual Studies (thesis only) or Visual Arts (integrated theory/practice).

The MASTERS IN VISUAL ARTS (MAVA) program offers an opportunity for specialized postgraduate research in studio practice within and across Fine Art, Visual Communication Design, Illustration, and contemporary Jewellery Design.

Successful applicants will demonstrate
