We need your creativity! Your canvas will be a life-size blank white sculpture of a rhino, which, when transformed by you, will become an imaginative work of art.
The Rhinos Are Coming!!! (TRAC) is a Three Month Art Exhibition coming to Cape Town next summer in response to the devastating decades-long assault by poachers on our beloved indigenous rhino population. Rhinos are now at risk of becoming extinct altogether and we know that the power of art will raise awareness and funds for conservation efforts in an innovative and progressive manner. TRAC is a registered non profit organisation. Your works of art will be auctioned during and after the Exhibition and funds raised will secure a safer future for our endangered rhinos.
Please submit an illustration of how you see your Rhino. In our Call For Submissions & Design Guidelines document we have supplied an outline on which you will render your idea(s).
We invite South Africa’s talented creatives, both famous and emerging, to submit designs for further consideration by our art panel.
To mount the sort of exhibition that everyone is expecting and looking forward to we are offering you and another sixty or so local Creatives the opportunity to participate. Each unique piece of artwork will be exhibited in a prominent spot in and around Cape Town. Parks, squares and street corners will become one giant art gallery.
The media loves our programme. Already our first nine artists and their Rhinos have featured in newspapers and magazines and interviews. Such exposure will generate awareness and acknowledgment of your work and enhance its value.
