Opportunity Description

Turbine Art Fair presents TAF Unearthed, a selection of fresh artistic voices from the South African art scene. TAF Unearthed is a 6-month part-time mentorship and professional practice programme, culminating in a group exhibition at the Turbine Art Fair in July 2022. The mentorship programme will take on 10 South African artists in the developing stage of their career, aged 18-35 years, and will focus on conceptual, professional and process-based development.

Artists may apply in the medium of drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, installation and new media. The final selection of artists and artworks is subject to the Fair management and selection committee. Turbine Art Fair reserves the right to exclude artists from the final exhibition should the standard and quality of the work or the artist’s behaviour not be in line with the fair’s standards.

Selected artists will be announced on 26 January 2022, programme will commence on 2 February 2022. Turbine Art Fair takes place from 28-31 July 2022.
