Opportunity Description

Turbine Art Fair presents TAF Unearthed, a selection of fresh artistic voices from the South African art scene. TAF Unearthed is a 6-month part-time mentorship and professional practice programme, culminating in a group exhibition at the Turbine Art Fair in July 2021. The mentorship programme will take on 10 South African artists in the developing stage of their career, aged 18-35 years, and will focus on conceptual, professional and process-based development.

TAF is looking for a dynamic and experienced project manager to co-ordinate the TAF Unearthed mentorship programme and exhibition & curator for the culmination exhibition at Turbine Art Fair.

Project Manager Requirements:

  • Must have an undergrad level qualification in the appropriate field
  • Minimum 3 years industry-relevant experience in project management, organisation
  • Strong administrative & organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Self-motivated and driven
  • Must have a passion for the arts
  • Must be based in JHB

Curator requirements:

  • Must have an undergrad level qualification in appropriate field or masters degree
  • Minimum 3 years industry relevant experience
  • Strong administrative & organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Self-motivated and driven
  • Must be based in JHB
