Opportunity Description

THE PROJECT SPACE

Artist Book Exhibition
March 2020

This exhibition explores the intersection between Visual and Literary Arts, through the form of artist books. Visual artists are often inspired by great literature, and writers often express the visual with a thousand words. The aim is to create a space that expands and transforms what is expected of visual and literary books, and to encourage the publication of work that embraced both literary and visual languages. We invite and encourage artists/writers to adopt new perspectives within their practice by submitting original artist books.

We’re partnering with PULP Paperworks studio for the exhibition. PULP will be generously supplying a limited number of hand-made books which artists wishing to participate may order, then create the artist books for the exhibition. There will be a critical panel discussion/talk in response to the theme of the exhibition. The dialogue will be exploring the intersection between Visual and Literary Arts; and the art of book-making. Email us a letter of interest to participate in the panel discussion.
