Situated in the historic and vibrant neighbourhood of Bertrams, TwilSharp is a unique space in the inner city. Tucked away from the bustle of the city amongst shady trees and organic vegetable gardens, TwilSharp Studios provides an oasis in which to work, whilst still in the midst of a thriving Johannesburg inner-city suburb, close to the burgeoning arts hubs of Victoria Hubs, The Makers Valley and Maboneng.

What was once a grand turn-of-the-century Joburg home now accommodates six working studios. Artists have access to a fully equipped kitchen, unlimited wifi, communal outdoor spaces, off-street parking and use of the exhibition & workshop space. We host practitioners from across the disciplines of theatre, design, visual arts, research, literature and music.

We also have one residency space available, offering self-catering accommodation alongside a studio space. Available for 3 – 6 months for travelling local or international artists.
