Opportunity Description

The Department of Art and Music at the University of South Africa (Unisa) invites applications for two fixed-term teaching positions in Art History, to begin as soon as possible. Each contract is for one year, renewable for a second year. Appointments will be made at Junior or Lecturer level, depending on qualifications and experience.

Successful candidates will hold at least a relevant Honours Bachelor’s degree in Art History or a Visual Arts degree on NQF level 8 (Honours equivalent) with a substantial Art History component. Relevant experience will be an added advantage. Incumbents will be responsible for teaching and revising art history modules, research, community engagement and academic citizenship.
